Understanding the Mechanisms Behind Q203-PBTZ169 Synergy in Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Eradication

Abstract

This research delves into the intricate mechanisms governing the synergistic action of Q203 and PBTZ169 in eradicating Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). The study employs a multifaceted approach, encompassing in vitro analyses, in vivo experimentation using zebrafish infection models, and evaluation of bacterial burden, tdTomato dissemination, and survival curves. In the in vitro phase, the checkerboard method and CFU determination reveal a synergistic relationship between Q203 and PBTZ169, disrupting Mtb growth with a significant impact. Moving beyond the laboratory setting, zebrafish infection models provide insights into the combination therapy's efficacy.
